WATCH THE STORY OF MARIGOLD AND THE BEGGAR UNFOLD IN SAMUEL MAKANDA’S NEW VIDEO “DARLING”

No Comments Review

Greetings dearest gentle readers and music lovers let’s welcome American artist Samuel Makanda to our blog. On 3rd March, he released a song and its video called “darling.” The song opens with car-like sounds and sirens which are seen in the video and a child sitting behind a television set watching the commotion unfold.

The video starts with the same child watching the tv as a story is being told. The story is a story about a princess and a beggar. This story was about a princess called marigold, the daughter of king Midas. In the story, we are told that marigold was manifesting the golden touch like her father but she has no way of confirming and felt like her mind was playing tricks on her. One day, the princess was walking her horse home when she saw a beggar sitting on the side of the road. The princess ignored the beggar but a Congolese man offered him money. When the princess saw the Congolese man helping the beggar she too was inspired to do the same and thought she could help him more than the Congolese man and she touched him. After the touch he too became gold. His clothes, his hair, his saxophone and everything else belonging to him. In return for her kindness, the beggar began to play his gold saxophone for the princess. The rest of the video is the beggar performing for the princess for her kindness. Through the video, viewers see the beggar thank (“from my heart darling I thank you”)and promises to stay by her side. The video ends with the beggar dancing and being an individual known for independence

A major turning point in the music industry, Samuel Makanda’s Original Video, Darling…, offers a novel take on music videos. This innovative concept is notable for combining music and storytelling components to provide viewers with an incredibly captivating and immersive experience. Notably, “Darling” is the FIRST movie to be available in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Russian, and there will soon be additional versions available. With Kathy Morales as “Marigold” and Samuel Makanda playing “The Beggar,” this production, which was filmed at the charming Secret Gardens Miami, has an amazing cast that gives the song and the story depth and emotion.

This was a splendid video. It had very good storytelling and traces of opulence from the beginning to the end. Makanda gave a good performance, he is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
