After a dozen albums from one of the most inspirational artists you could ever hope to hear, Adam Lanceley combines some of his best and most meaningful tracks in a retrospective covering a series of personal, heartfelt songs that any Bob Dylan fan would be proud to add to their collection. Presenting his newest album “The Complete Adam Lanceley”. This 12-track album was released on the 3rd of June. Let me tell you more about this album

The first song on the album is called “A Dream I Had”. The song has this very soft opening. The persona in the song talks about something and in that moment knows or remembers that it was just a dream(” It was just a dream I had”). The mouth percussion was a nice touch which was ever so heavenly. This song tells you to buckle up for the rest of the songs

Next is the song called “A Lover Like You”. The song has an energetic opening then Lanceley begins his performance by looking for a person to be his lover. He seems to find this lover and makes the person know how special she is (” Will I find it sooner, a lover like you”). He tells this lady that he has been looking for a lady like her and is hoping to find a lover like her(”hope to meet a lover like you”). The song is precise and to the point and again there were some calm and delightful mouth percussions in this song as well as heavenly piano notes that say farewell to listeners on this song

“Back to your door” is the song that follows. The song is a lovely song with a cool instrumentation intro. The song talks about a character who has fallen in love with a woman. His object of affection caught his attention right from the moment he met her(”I saw a perfect picture when I met you”). Our character admits that he sometimes goes astray in the relationship but always comes back to her(”but I always I get lead back to your door”). This is a beautiful story about lovely that is infused with great vocal performance and perfect instrumentation

“Behind your beauty” is the song up next. This song’s intro is a fusion of bass and piano sounds The song is powerful with vibrant lyrics to match(” Behind your beauty, you show a cleansing power”). The song has a piano solo bursting with color and vibrancy. The song as a whole is very unique and captivating

The next song is called “Dreaming of a Girl”. This song opens with slow instrumentation. The song’s character is still lovelorn about someone he knew and tells his partner that she is the only one who can make feelings of his past love go away (”dreaming of a girl I used to know only you can make it go”). The instruments are completely in sync and match the energy of the vocal performance

The song that follows is called “Handle Me with Care”. The song’s opening sounds are that of waves crashing mixed with some guitar sounds. The song describes a relationship that is taking a toll on one of them and asks to be freed from the relationship (“You set me free”). There is a violin solo followed by a piano solo that will fall in love with it

“Heading for the Sunshine” is the next song. The song has a very delightful piano intro which is followed by a nice steady drum thrum. In the song, we come to meet a character who is in a toxic relationship or a relationship where he or she is hurt constantly(”standing in the rain at your door”). The character then decides to make a conscious effort to head toward something or someone who will make him or her happy. The sunshine here represents happiness(” I’ll be heading for the sunshine “). There is a guitar-piano fusion solo that will captivate you through and through

“Heart baby” is the song that follows. The song’s intro is quite unique with its guitar strums and piano flourish that will immediately catch your attention. The song is a declaration of love by the character in the song to his object of affection, telling her that she’s warmed her way into his heart(”baby got to my heart”). There is a guitar solo in this you should look out for because it is just amazing!.. The song will take you on an exciting musical ride

Next is the song “I’ll Be Coming Soon”. The song opens with a mix of guitar and piano sounds. The persona in the song seems to be a person who has been away from home for some time and comforts himself that he is almost home(” Tell me I’ll be coming home soon”). This song also has a beautiful guitar solo that will let you step outside your body and float up above the clouds

Next is the song “I’m easy with you”. The character in the song talks about how he was unable to love freely but his current lover is different and lets her know that she has his attention and his heart. (” But I’m easy with you when there’s sun and when there’s dark”). The song has a breathtaking electric guitar solo with hints of violin in it which is simply magical

Next is the song “Thank you and goodnight” The song’s opening is unique and beautiful. The song is about a character who is bidding a group of people goodbye and tells them that it’s not goodbye forever(”goodbye for now”). There is yet another guitar solo to look forward to mid-song and toward the end which is completely exhilarating

The last song on the album is titled “The Dream of Yesterday”. This song’s opening is slow dreamy and intricate. The song is about having a dream that you are almost close to finishing or seeing through the dream of yesterday all but done”). The song switches and wears different faces throughout the song and the theme changes as well. It talks about a version of the afterlife and death wholes talking about fulfilling hopes and admiration. It is a slow song but the electric guitar gives it a bit of a rock vibe. This song of Many Hats ends the album gracefully

This album is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. You can see that Lanceley put a lot of work into it. It is especially significant as the album showcases Lanceley reborn like a Phoenix from the ashes after facing a near-death experience. He is very talented and encourages listeners to look at his story and know that you can come back from anything if you put your mind to it.
