Greetings dearest gentle reader and music fans across the world. Today we’re highlighting the talents of UK artist Matt Harper. Matt has just released a new song called “Oh No”. The song was released on 16th August. Let me be your guide on this music trip
The song starts with a very steady and rhythmic drum beat which is fused with a very exciting electronica sound and then Harper begins his vocal performance. Strap in for the ride of your life
The song is Harper’s interpretation of how much outside influence there is in today’s world, (“things are pretty strange right now”)especially on social media, and why it’s crucial to have your own opinions and live your own life. (“The only way to live your life is to live it for the life you love” The song also teaches to you have thick skin if you want to live your life in public or on social media(“People can be so unkind, don’t be fooled by what you hear”). The song is very exciting and before you know it you’ll be head-banging to this amazing song
The song transports listeners to the glory days of synth-pop from the 1980s. This song makes listeners think of Soft Cell, Visage, Giorgio Moroder, and even Martin Gore’s torch ballads for Depeche Mode. All of Matt’s songs and lyrics are written by him, and there’s an electronica solo that will get you up and dancing away from your troubles.
I’m glad I have gotten the opportunity to experience Harper’s style of music. Not only is the song beautiful, it takes to a time when things were simple and fun. The song’s lyrics are a big wake-up call I’m excited to share with everyone I know. This song is appropriate for all ages and will attract every type of music fan, no matter the genre they favor. Harper is a refreshing talent and I cannot wait to hear more of his music
