Greetings dearest readers and music lovers. Today we highlight the work of Polish artist Julia Kotova. On 14th November, Julia released a 16-song album called “World Music “, let’s talk more about this record
“Avrix mi galanica” is the opening track of the album. There is a rush of upbeat instrumentation thrown your way when the song starts. Julia sounds absolutely amazing and her energy is very charming that before you know it you will dancing to this song. This is the perfect song to pave the way for the other songs on the album
“Apareka” is the next song on the album. The intro is a fusion of very beautiful stringed instrumentation. Yet again Julia sounds absolutely beautiful. She punches every single note to meet the corresponding beat. You don’t need the meaning of songs because even the mouth percussion on this one will move you and you will lose your head and start grooving to it
“Ev chistr ta laou” is the next song on the album. This song has dreamy and soft instrumentation right from the very beginning. You hear Julia’s voice in a different setting and how she will sound and she killed this one. The Violin solo was just breathtaking and it will delight you
Next up is titled “Scarborough Fair”. This song has a very operatic intro with the violin sounds. The song’s structure is much like Asian songs. There is a mystical side to it also. Julia softens her voice so that the instrumentation has a chance to shine. She sings about how she finds love at a fair. The violin sounds just make the song much more elegant
Next up is “E kertemben”. This song has an upbeat intro that is very exciting. Julia again gives her heart and soul into the vocal performance. This is a foot-tapping song that will take you on an exciting musical journey
Up next is “Sol Invictus”. This song has a dark, dramatic, and mystical intro. Throughout the song, Julia doubles down on her raspy vocal performance. There is a violin solo that you can’t ever forget. Yet again we get to see the different sides and shapes of Julia’s amazing song
“Nie ma, nie ma ciebie” is the next song on the record. The song opens with Spanish-influenced guitar sounds. Julia performs with gentle violin sounds. The guitar sound makes you want to gear up and dance some tango but then then the violin sounds make it classical. Julia conquers both genres, fusing them into this beautiful song
“Za vidü” is the next song on the album. This intro is very upbeat. Julia sings proud and free, then the song turns into a classical rock song. That guitar and flute solo was so sensational and unforgettable
“Lelita safitita” is the next song on the album. The song opens with this mambo-style instrumentation. In this song, Julia sounds Indian and it fits perfectly into the structure of the song. This song breathes new life into the album
Up next is the song” Pustono Ludo | mlado”. This song sounds classical right from the jump. When electric guitar and drum set in, you get one hell of a song. The violin sounds in the so especially are sharp, very clean and crisp. The vocal performance is very stunning and this song will take you on an amazing music trip
Next is the song “hey gidi dünya hey”. This song opens with Middle Eastern sounds. This intro reminds me of the sound played in the movie “The Mummy” featuring Brandon Frazier. Julia sounds heavenly in this song and you will be breathless after this sonic journey
Next up is “msho axchik”. The song opens up with colorful instrumentation before Julia starts to sing. This song has a stunning arrangement of instruments that will captivate you from the beginning to the end
“Too in zamoone” is the next song on the record. This song is a rich tapestry of exotic sounds and melodies that are inescapable earworms because you will put on repeat just to maintain the happiness you gain from listening to it
Up next is the song “bhala kisi ki”. The song starts with a sharp violin. And exotic drum sounds. This song will take you on a sonic trip unlike anything you’ve heard or experienced
Next up is the song “asadoya yunta”. This song opens with upbeat pop sounds. You can feel the glee that Julia feels when she is performing this song. This song is the type of song that screams positivity and we are here for it!’
The last song on the album is called “varulven”. This beautiful song opens with glacial, cinematic, and operatic sounds. Like a battle cry for Vikings. The vocal performance is light and makes you feel like you can do anything. When you want to gas yourself up, this right here is the song for you. This powerful bids listeners farewell
Julia was Magnificat on this album. She proved how her voice can adapt to any genre and style she wants to perform in, a quality that most artists seek. She broke boundaries and communicated to listen to her even though the song wasn’t in English. Julia is a star and she will do great and mighty things
