When the song starts, you are engulfed with the sounds of birds chirping and waves crashing signifying that this song is going to be about the outdoors before the guitar sounds set in

The song is about a character who went to Hawaii in the summer(“Hawaii Summer Take Me Back There”). This character has what I refer to as “the holiday blues”. The holiday blues is when you reminisce about the holiday you went on and you feel sad that you’re back to your life. This holiday blues is very real and though the artist performed the song in a fun way, it still doesn’t take away the theme of the song

When it comes to production, turner was going for an all-immersive experience and uses sounds that can listen to you and mentally travel to Hawaii. There is a beautiful Guitar solo mid-song and toward the end of the song but the song begins with wave-crashing sounds and ends with wave-crashing sounds

Through the lyrics, vocals, and the other sounds featured in the song, listeners are transported to Hawaii, drinking from coconuts and hearing the waves crash. Turner is a pioneering all-immersive music experience and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
