Greetings dearest gentle readers and kindred music spirits, let’s welcome English artist Tom Minor to our blog. On the eighth of November, he released an eleven-track album called “Eleven Easy Pieces on Anger and Disappointment”. In an indie, classic, and soft rock environment, the London-based indie artist’s (literally) long-awaited debut album’s thought-provoking title could be explained as simply digestible contagiousness around huge and hard themes covered both gently and thoroughly. Let’s talk more about this album

The first song is called “Is everything okay?”. The song has a beautiful song where the character in the song is asking if someone needs help and asks about their well-being and tells the person they care. Tom is fabulous in this song and the instrumentation is satisfying. There is a harmonica sound with gives the song a country blues vibe. This song tells and convinces listeners that they will enjoy the album

Next up is “the bad life”. This song features the creatures of habit and is upbeat right from the start. The song illustrates a character who must have been attached to living in a certain way but is making sure that people know that they are not departing from it. This is about self development and it was translated in a light-hearted way. The vocal performance and the instruments give this song a soft rock feel that listeners will really get a kick out of

“It’s easy to play hearts” is the title of the next song on the record. The song starts with an energetic intro. In the song, listeners are reminded that it is easy to make a fool out of someone but, it is so much harder to repair the read and hurt inflicted on said heart(“it’s easy to play hearts but much harder to repair”). Musically, listeners are in for the time of their lives with a banging beat and a lovely guitar solo

Next up is a song called “It’s the wind, stupid!” The song has a dramatic yet upbeat intro. The song is about a character who is missing someone and flinches to look around every time they hear a sound. This character reminds himself that it’s only the wind. This song is very engaging and captivating because of the quality of the song’s structure

Up next is “Saturday eats it’s young”. This song features the creatures of habit. The song has a foot-tapping intro. The song is very captivating. The piano sounds give it a choral/gospel feel. You will have fun listening to this bop. As a group, these artist puts their very soul into this song

“Light heart heavy hand” is the next song on the record. Beautiful piano sounds greet you when the song starts. The song is about a character who is stuck in a Routine of loving someone and makes this person his priority. The song is glacial and very operatic

“Goddam and Evil” is the next song. This song has a country rock vibe right from the very beginning. The character in the song is angry at someone and lashes out, calling what the person does “goddam and evil”. This relationship is a love/hate relationship and the character lays it all out. There’s a solo in the song that makes you feel like you’re at a rodeo, taking in some music

Up next is “interstellar standstill”. The opening of the song is very exciting with funky and lovely bass guitar sounds. The character in the song is a bartender or a person in a bar, a sage haven for traveling people in the cosmos. This song is very interesting and you will love this poetic masterpiece

“The Dog Walkers” is the title of the next song. The intro is very upbeat. The song is about dog walkers and how they go about their jobs. The instrumentation is incredibly good and listeners will have a delightful time with it

“Where do you see yourself in five years”. This song is also a country rock song. The song is about a character who looks very well put together but is actually struggling and can’t tell where he sees himself in five years. The instrumentation is a perfect musical specimen and breathes new life into the album

The last song on the album is “Daydreams Come True at Night”. The opening of the song is very cheery and light. Those chimes in the beginning are just beautiful. The song illustrates a character who is terrified of his reality and is going through a tough time. Sometimes we don’t feel like we are going to be okay but we will be okay. Minor uses a lot of different instruments and sounds on the song and it sounded perfect. This wonderful song brings the album to an end

This album is a testament to Minor’s incredible talent and his dedication to his music, he worked with creatures of habit to polish and refine an already refined song to make it perfect. This album was a knockout and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
