Steve and Dolapo is comprised of Dolapo Oladejo does Songwriting, vocals, and backing vocals, and Steve Petrinko does Songwriting, production, vocals, backing vocals, acoustic drums, electric and upright bass, acoustic and electric guitar, soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone, piano, vibraphone, world percussion, and synthesizers. I fell in love with their music after hearing their song “Companion”, a song that celebrated true friendship. This amazing duo is back again and as usual, they didn’t come empty-handed. On 29th March, the duo released a single called “Early Morning Glow”. Let’s discuss the song

The song opens with this captivating and warm jazz melody right before the amazing vocals begin. This song is a song about positivity and purity. The song tells listeners to hold on to their morning glow(“Let your purity overflow the obscurity of any shadow”). The morning glow means positivity but it can also literally mean that we are supposed to hold on to that glow we get when we are standing in the rising sun or the light that shines on our faces when the sun rises. Ever the song talks about, this son tells us to always choose the light

The combination of traditional and contemporary jazz components results in a work that is incredibly distinctive, eerily reflective, and rich in rhythm and harmony.
