Hello everyone, you are most welcome to our blog. Today we highlight the talent of the band Cherry Bomb. Cherry Bomb is a German-based Band consisting of five members by the names of Chris P- Nuttz (vox, guit), Vince Vixxen (lead guitar, backing vox), Ben Dover (drums), Don Diego Duarte (bass, backing vox) and Neil N. Blomee (keys, backing vox). On 27th July the band released an 11-song record by the name “Sunset BLVD”. Let’s talk more about this record

The first song is called “Love Hurts”. This song opens with some synth sound but makes no mistake because the lyrics are anything but subdued. (”one finger two words, fuck you, fuck you”). The song then bursts with energy oozing out of every pore. The song talks about a person who is flipping off someone who has hurt him(”love hurts”). The vocal performance is powerful and you can feel how hurt the persona is I am very sure that the person in question deserved this treatment and more. The song is very high energy with its vibrant instrumentation and you will find yourself singing along to its catchy lyrics

Next is the album’s namesake “Sunset BLVD”. This song begins with some nice electric piano before the electric guitar and drum beats are added. The song describes a place ripe with opportunities for everyone who wants to be a star(” This is the place to be where everybody wants to be a star On Sunset BLVD”). There is an electric guitar solo mid-song that will knock you off your feet. This song will enthrall you entirely and get you singing along

“Drive fast” is the next song. When the song starts you hear the sound of an engine starting and you buckle up for the ride of your life which is this song. The song talks about the thrill and rush of driving fast (”l put the pedal to the metal, shifting into overdrive”). The persona in the song seeks the thrill of driving fast “)drive fast through the night running at the speed of light”)This song sings about the appeal of driving fast that you picture it In your head and imagine you’re driving as fast as Vin Diesel in the Fast and Furious. The lyrics of the song are not only interesting, it suits the beat and tempo and it will be such a treat to hear it live

Next is the song “Especially”. This song slows down the album a bit. The song presents a character who tells his partner about how he still remembers their first date, mentioning every detail right down to the perfume she wore(” I’ll never forget the night we first met the scent of your perfume and the sweet things you said”). He pledges his loyalty to her and his undying love (”especially when you need me my heart skips a beat, can’t you see that you’re my everything”) The song is a country-infused song that is so beautiful (especially the electric guitar solo (see what I did there??)and describes this love story with so much passion

“Whiskey A Go Go” is the next song. The intro of the song is very intoxicating. The song’s message is quite simple, it encourages listeners to have a good time dancing, drinking, and having the best time of their lives and go out with a bang(”we’re living it up”). The instrumentation is very fast-paced and exciting and it will delight you from start to finish

Next is the song “Just Between You and Me”. This is yet another rock and upbeat song. The song’s character is still holding on to the good times he and his lover used to share (”I still remember all the times we had”). After recalling the good times he anchors his pain from their breakup with how much she hurt him, and left him with sounds that just had barely healed (you drowned my heart in the deep blue sea”). The message in the song is quite morose but the song is very exciting and enjoyable, distracting you from the sad story. This is a lovely song that will delight you with its instrumental charms(electric guitar solo)

Next is the song “Caribbean Summer”. The song starts with the sounds of the ocean waves mixed with bright guitar strums. The song puts the spirits of summer into words from the beach to the sun and people all around(”cruising down the coast, summer is in the air, love is all around, happy people everywhere”). The song has an upbeat arrangement of musical instruments with subtle hints of xylophone sprinkled in the guitar solo mid-song. The song gives you a mental image of a perfect day at the beach with the sun out and a cold beverage in hand through its descriptive lyrics and sounds that are sonically pleasing and all immersive in nature

Next is the song “Seven Seas of Rock”. The song starts with a flat synth sound foundation upon which the rest of the instruments are built. The song talks about the importance of keeping rock music alive. (” Our music lifts us up when we are on our knees”). The song not only talks about the responsibility of rockers but also the importance and power of music and how it breaks boundaries and unites us all. I applaud the band for sharing this important message with listeners. You need to know how amazing the electric guitar solo was and how it will sweep you off your feet!

“Guardian Angel” is the next song on The album. This is a slow song that breathes new life into the album. The song is about a beautiful relationship full of love and life. (” You are heaven-sent my guidance from above”). The persona accepts that his life was a mess till his partner swooped him and changed his life completely around. He is so confident in this truth and believes that she is his Guardian angel(” You’re my love and you saved me, baby you’re Guardian angel”). The song is so emotive, tender and so beautiful. The vocal performance with its highs and lows alone will make you swoon and fall in love with the song completely

“Y.D.F.O.C.” is the title of the next song. The song opens with a telephone ringing and then the title of the song is chanted before the guitar sets in. The song is about a persona who is tired of being played with and calls out the person using him(” You play with my desire then throw me in the fire, you’re a liar”). You feel the anger of the persona through the pace, tempo, and rhythm of the vocal performance and the instrumentation(electric guitar solo)

The last song on the album is called “Forever and a Day”. The song’s intro is a steady guitar strum. The song is a beautiful song about true love(” Baby can’t you see (2x)your heart belongs to me”). As the song continues we see the persona list a number of reasons he will love his partner forever (” That’s why I love you forever and a day”). The song builds with some lovely mouth percussions and melodies that I can only describe as heavenly. This beautiful song is the perfect curtain call for this incredible album

This album really spoke to me. With its themes and musical prowess I was astonished by it. This shape-shifting album gave listeners a little bit of everything and there was never a dull moment in this album. This type of talent is refreshing and assures me that this type of music will never go out of style. This is a wonderful experience that I will recommend to every fan of music
