Welcome again dearest readers and music lovers, we welcome you to our digital space, and let’s give a warm welcome to the post-punk/alternative rock power trio called Sick Richard. Sick Richard is made up of Sam on vocals and guitars Ed on bass and synth and Steve on drums
They blend rock n roll guitars and hazy synths with melancholic grooves. Based in North London’s Harringay Warehouse district, they draw inspiration and influence from the city’s diversity, history, and urban life and decay, as well as the weirdness of the present and unknown future.
Their sound is heavily influenced by a variety of genres, including jazz, electronica, psychedelic, punk, noise, blues, and dub. Sick Richard’s music is gritty, gritty, mesmerizing, frenetic, bitter, twisted, and bizarre. It also mutates and evolves with each song they play. Their latest song is titled “Ruination”, it was released on 17th November and asks the question where did it all go wrong
“Ruination “ is a classic rock anthem that starts with electric guitars and then descends into drums and then full rock mode. Sick Richard’s vocal range in this song is impeccable as they talk about sticking it to the man. And it’s amazing the soundscape they have been able to create for audiences
Lyrically the song is a tongue-in-cheek and a middle finger to the man sort of. The song is carefree and it encourages its listeners to do the same as they blow off steam with this fantastic song
You can tell the song was meticulously put together and crafted to perfection by the way the musical instruments and vocal performance band together in unison. The way the song was produced conveys the feeling and urgency of the message of the song overall
Overall I can say with the utmost confidence that “Ruination” by SickRichard is an amazing sonic experience, suitable for all music lovers, and will fit great into every playlist. The song is a testament to the band’s musical capability and how far they will go.
