No Comments Review

Greetings dearest readers and music lovers let’s welcome the band Scars on Louise. From Sankt Vith, Belgium, Scars on Louise offer a new and upbeat pop sound to the music industry. Since its formation in 2017, this dynamic trio—which consists of Laura on vocals, Romain on guitar, and Kevin on drums—has captivated audiences. Scars on Louise uses a wide variety of instruments, such as ukuleles and synthesizers, to give their music a unique depth and personality. Scars on Louise’s much awaited original album, “TRINITY x BODY”, which will highlight the band’s creative development over the last two years, is scheduled for release on October 25. This ten-song record, which was self-produced in the band’s own studio with mixing and mastering help from Pascal Mersch, is an example of their inventiveness and teamwork.TRINITY x BODY is a very personal and important record for the band because it explores personal tales and experiences. Let’s dive in

The first song on the album is called “Devil’s Home”. The song dives directly into the performance. According to the lyrics of the song, the character described in the song feels like or is drowning(“Time’s running out till you drown). This imagery might be an actual drowning or a metaphor for feeling depressed. Musically the lead singer sounds dark and intense. The instrumentation is perfect and dramatic with sudden urgency that brings listeners into the details and story of the song

Up next is a song called “What if God….?”. The song cuts right into the song. In the song, the character speaks about religion. She might sound cynical but she questions the existence of a God and how he might be neglecting the people who pray to him. They sound so awesome on this song, and the stripped down ukulele sound gives this song a very elevated sound

“Kings of the night” is the next song on the album. The song takes you on a journey where you meet the character of the song who crowns him or herself as “king of the night”. There is a short rap-like verse in the song and the switch of the beat into a hip-hop beat which is an unexpected surprise that listeners will fall completely for

“Imitation” is the next song on the record. The song is about a character who is very in love with her partner, tries to be like him or her, and vows to never take him or her for granted. The harmonies on this song and the instrumentation are exceptionally excellent

The next song on the record is “Letter to My Brain”. This awesome song begins with operatic piano sounds. The song talks about the challenges we face in our lives, how unable we sometimes are to solve them, and how sometimes we need to accept ourselves and uses “write a letter to your brain” to encourage ourselves because that’s life (“life is just going on”). This ballad is incredibly moving and emotive. The piano also lets the artist belt out some very emotional notes and it’ll stay with you long after you listen to it

Next up is “stay or leave”. The emotive and glacial piano sounds open this song. The song is a statement to people in our lives that they can either stay with us and ride together or they can just exit our lives. With this song the phrase “ride or die” comes to mind. Musically, the song was so beautiful and stunning and I teared up a little, something that listeners will come to experience

Up next is “Dead to Me”. The song is a dark song with a dark vibe. The song illustrates a woman scorned. She’s angry and is going through grief and after that grief period, she cuts all ties and her ex is dead to her and lets him know that he’s made a huge mistake (“everything you’ve done is dead to me”). The vocal performance is stunning and powerful and the song will just thrill you

“One Night” is the next song on the record. In this song, the character describes an unforgettable night that will never be outmatched. Through the instrumentation and the vocals, listeners come along with the character on this legendary night

Next is a song called “Got High”. The intro of this song is very snazzy and you’ll love it. The character in the song has gotten high or gotten a rush from doing a particular thing. The song has this rousing and inspirative song that listeners will be thrilled by it

The last song on the album is called “Snowglobe”. The song opens with bright instrumentation. The song describes life and hearts like a snow globe which we keep shaking with everything we do. The song is profound and very magnificent and does a very good job of closing the album

The songs on this album are just stunning and make the band’s resume even more appealing The songs had an exciting subject matter and we got a taste of the artist’s vocal range and appreciated it even more. This album was a slam dunk and I can’t wait to hear more music from them
