Hello, my most esteemed readers and music lovers everywhere you’re welcome to our blog. Today we highlight the artist Santa Cecilie. Santa Cecilie is a singer and songwriter from Bergen, Norway. On 21st April, she released a 5 song EP called “Home My Universe”. Let’s talk more about this EP

The first song is called “Seizure”. The song opens with sweet and dreamy guitar sounds The song is about a character who takes along with her as she mentions, places where she’s been trying to feel love or feel how she feels now(”I’ve been searching all my life just to feel what I feel”). We then learn that her happiness is in the form of a partner who loves her. This song is a wholesome song about how love can uplift others. Santa gives a stunning performance (mouth percussions)and it will take you on an emotive journey. This was the perfect song to open the EP

Next is the song called “Home”. When the song starts you will hear a very impressive mouth percussion sound. The song illustrates how a character who yearns to go home (” Take me home”). Santa sounds breathtaking and portrays the feminine power that Pochantas portrays when she sings the iconic song “Just Around the River Bend”. The song is majestic and so stunning

Next up is the song “Life”. The song gets right into the vocal performance. In this song, Santa leaves all the ground as she sings about the beauty and importance of living (”life must never be given up”). The song seems to tell anyone listening that “you are important, you matter, even if no one tells you, you matter”). She’s so vulnerable in this song, you feel like she sees you, it will resonate with listeners and it seems like she’s looking you right in the eye and comforts you. The instrumentation is perfect for this very emotive song

“Keep” is the next song on the EP. This song has this synth-pop sound that will captivate you. In this song, Santa encourages listeners to keep fighting for what they believe in no matter the challenges we might face. (keep singing about the world you want to be living in”). The song also encourages listeners about self development. She also tells us to just give it a try so that if asked we can say that we tried(” If you try you will be free”). The mouth percussions are so lovely and make you feel like you’re walking on air

The last song on the EP is called “Rain”. You hear Santa’s song right out of the gate. The song is about a character who is misunderstood and tries to convey their experience to listeners. The instrumentation and vocal performances are perfect and sound very heavenly. This elegant song was the best option to close the album

It is Santa’s belief that music has the ability to effect change is one of the reasons she wrote the songs on this EP. Every voice counts, and she wanted to use hers to make a difference. The songs have deeper significance since they are based on encounters with people Santa has met along the way that have changed her life. It is her hope that anyone who is looking for inspiration and serenity can find it in this music and I’m proud to say that she executed this perfectly! Santa was standing on business with this EP, she is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more music from her
