Greetings dearest gentle readers and music lovers. Today we highlight the work of US artist Tony Fissore. On 24th April, he released an eleven-track a record called “Quarantine Chronicles”. A record that perfectly captured the feelings of an uncertain era surfaced in April 2020, as the globe turned inside. A moving and intensely personal musical journey, “ Let’s talk more about it
“Asymptomatic “ is the first song. The song opens with a thumping beat and piano sounds. A tambourine-like sound is then added to it. As the song builds, other sounds are added to it and make it fuller and richer, so listeners will enjoy it. This track opens up the album with style
Up next is “socially distant”. The intro of this song is a funky bass sound which is then fused with synth sounds. The bass foundation never shakes. It is solid and firm, holding the song together and carrying all the other instruments on its back. Later in the song, a sax sound is added which gives it a jazz feel. These instruments don’t usually mix but guess what? In this song it does and it is so beautiful to behold
“Severance” is the next song. The song opens with an exciting drum beat. A bass guitar sound is then added, as the sound builds, another guitar and electronic piano sounds are added to it. This song is foot-tapping and will take you on a delightful music journey
“Hipster Trash” is the fourth song on the album. The intro of this song is a captivating thumping beat. A synth sound is added and the sound finds its footing. More synth sounds are added to it and all in all, you get a very avant-garde song
Up next is “Ambient noise”. The song opens with a very smooth beat and then a synth pop sound is added to it. This song is indeed ambient because of its allure and because it creates a cool ambiance that will delight you
“Side Hustle” is the name of the next song. The intro is the song is very exciting and listeners will get a song to tap their feet to. This song makes you feel like you’re at your own club or your own rave and you will dance to it like I danced to. I can’t forget to mention that sax solo because it was outstanding
The seventh song is called “Aurora”. The song has a very interesting mambo intro. If you can’t dance the salsa and the tango you will learn it because of this song. A flute sound is added, yet still, you would want to dance to it because all the instruments complement each other and it has this Latin influence that you will fall in love with
Up next is “stringer”. This song opens with a bass sound. Throughout the song, you will hear various sounds added. Normally these types of sounds don’t go well together but in this song, they go well together that it doesn’t overwhelm you
“Caliente” is the title of the next song. This song is very upbeat and if you’re expecting a sound with Latin influences you will not be disappointed at all. This is a foot-tapping song you can groove to
Up next is “slow funk”. If this song sounds listener an uptown funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. This song is the embodiment of funk and listeners will really enjoy this change of pace in the album
The last song on this album is “on edge”. The song opens with electronic piano sounds. When a beat is added to it, you get a relaxed jazz-like vibe. The song is just really cool and chill and listeners will be exhilarated by this last song
Quarantine Chronicles” gave voice to the loneliness, annoyances, and anxieties that characterized the early days of worldwide lockdowns. Almost five years later, the record still functions as a record of a legendary historical occasion, still comforting and making people dance or relax, it has everything. Frissore is very talented and I’m looking forward to hearing more of his music
