Greetings dearest gentle readers and music fans let’s welcome back the band Pork Pie to our blog. The Irish band consists of Shane Brett on drums, Michael Laverty on bass, Michael Stafford on vocals, who does lyrics, keyboards, guitar, and alto sax, and Peter Laverty on lead guitar. I have listened to the band’s album “Golden Leaf Sheets”. The band is back with a new song called “The Raven”. Let’s get into the details of this song
The intro of this song is a little slow but has bright and colorful instrumentation and soon enough the tempo picks up
This song’s central theme is the significance of perception. (“Perception plays a really big part of your trance”). There is no denying the charisma and emotion of the vocal delivery. There is a quick mouth percussion and a strong electric guitar solo. Listening to this song live will be very thrilling since it makes you want to jump up and down. You can just let the music carry you; it doesn’t matter whether you’re hopping about without any rhythm.
The song is a post-punk, post-grunge, post-modern song that has a hint of garage and a hint of psyche. When the tempo picks up, it vibrancy of the instrumentation is unlike anything you’ve ever heard with a special allure
With the addition of new instruments, Pork Pie keeps expanding its musical lexicon and adding layers to its already diverse repertoire. Pork Pies’ varied preferences and sensibilities are truly showcased in the song, allowing fans to learn more about them and appreciate their music. Pork pie takes listeners on a musical journey using different sounds and figuring out the depth of music. They are extremely talented and I can’t wait to hear more music from them
