The song opens with a beautiful dreamy and soothing guitar sound before the actual song starts and kinda whets your appetite in anticipation of the rest of the song

The song is a mystical song about a character who is pledging to his lover that he’s going to take her to an amazing place where they will be together and have a killer view and one hell of a vacation or time they will spend at this magical place (“I’m coming to take you away to the castle with a view of the ocean”). This character doesn’t care about breaking a few rules to get to spend time with his lady

The lyrics of this song are very descriptive and they take listeners along as they also go with this couple to this beautiful place. Despite the song’s minimalistic instrumentation, its message is anything but. Cafcae carries on his theme of “us against the world” in “Lyrical,” but this time he frames it from a loving perspective. Cafcae’s dedication to defying social norms and expectations is embodied in lines like “I could give you the sun, and the moon, and the stars, but let’s make paradise in a cottage with love, and leave the palace and the castle for liars.”

On the surface, “Lyrical” seems to be a love ballad or just a song, but it’s much deeper and significant. Cafcae incorporates themes of rebellion and resistance. A broader commentary on societal restraints and the desire to escape is reflected in the story of escaping an enchanted jail that is concealed from daylight and freedom. Both a love promise and a sign of defiance against the forces that aim to suppress the refrain. This song marks another win for Cafcae because of his enormous talent and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
