No Comments News

Greetings to all my dearest readers and music lovers. Let’s welcome US artist My Satellite. The sad psychedelic love story on My Satellite’s second tens song album, “PERSON”, is incredibly moving and exquisitely bizarre. This record was released on 31st January, let’s talk more about the album

The title track of the album is called “Minotaur”. The song starts with a tribalistic type of instrumentation. The character in the song likens himself to this mythical animal known for destruction. He tells this potential love interest that he is no good for her and can’t offer her more(”I can’t give you more, I’m a minotaur”). The vocal performance and instrumentation bring the song to life and give listeners a front-row seat to the drama unfolding in the song. This song is very beautiful and opens the album up with so much energy and good vibes

Next up is the song “Deep into”). The song opens with synth sounds and a nice thumping beat. This song illustrates a one-sided relationship. It also brings to light how we aren’t supposed to lose ourselves in a relationship. Being close and loving each other is fine but to lose our identity because of a relationship brings devastating and destructive repercussions. The despair of the character is felt through the vocal performance and just the musicality

“Denial” is the title of the next song. The song has an upbeat intro. The character in the song is delusional about the state of his relationship. He knows it’s failing but is too afraid to face it and is in denial. Despite the glib story in the song, listeners will be foot-tapping to this song and listeners will fall in love with the retro 80s type of sound in the song

Up next is “You”. This song starts with slow instrumentation. The persona In the song describes in great detail how his partner is everything to him. It is nice to hear a budding love story especially as valentines Day is fast approaching. The vocal performance gives listeners The Weeknd vibes because of those lovely falsetto and operatic instrumentation

“Sing your sorrows” is the title of the next song. The intro is a cool array of synth-pop sounds that are very stunning. In the song, the character tells his partner that he is riding or dying and that she doesn’t need to hide her pain because he will help them face them head-on. The instrumentation is perfect and listeners will be delighted by it

“Farewell to Fantasy” is the title of the next song on the record. The song is about a person who went in for a lover despite so many red flags. This persona knows that he will not thrive with her but still takes his chances and beats himself up for it. The falsetto in this song??? It is to die for and the instrumentation compliments it perfectly

“Strange Business” is the seventh song on the album. The intro of this song is a thumping synth-pop sound. This song is a trippy psychedelic experience about diving into a trippy psychedelic experience.

“Tangles and Virtues” is the next song on the album. This song opens with an ethereal synth song. The song talks about death and long-lost love. This song was so operatic and it created a wonderful sonic experience

Next up is “See me off”. This song opens with the most heavenly instrumentation you have ever heard. The character of the song seems to be fading away and is just waiting for the sweet release of death. The song starts slowly but it picks up the tempo and listeners will love the song

The last song on the album is “Morning”. This song opens with a nice tempo and It is very captivating. The song talks about all the opportunities we are given every single day. It encourages us to seize the day and make the best of it. The album ends on a hopeful note and listeners will still feel the emotions of the song long after it stops playing

This album is amazing, From the very first notes, it captures your attention and leads you on a trip that leads you farther and deeper into a romance that is certain to fail. It adds elements of classical and funk and saddles them onto the band’s well-known indie rock basis. This album is a musical feast, featuring pop tunes, funk beats, and luscious orchestral passages. My Satellite is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more about his projects
