Greetings my lovely readers and music fans. We welcome US band Mr Denton on Doomsday. Mr. Denton On Doomsday includes vocalist Josie in addition to members Fate (Guitar, vocals), Evin Myrick (Bass), and Benjamin (Drums). Although these diverse bandmates cite King Crimson, Black Sabbath,
Queens Of The Stone Age and many others as influences, create a sound unique unto themselves. Released on 2nd November, “All We Love Will Be Carried Away”, is Mr. Denton’s most recent album. The most diverse tunes from Mr. Denton’s lengthy career are included in this special eight-song collection. Let’s talk more about it
“What the Water Brings” is the title track of this album. When the songs are sophisticated starts, you are met with high-energy rock instrumentation. The song is about a complex relationship and its turmoil. The song is a rock banger and you’ll be rocking along to the song before you know it
Next up is “rise, fall, divine”. The intro of this song is a very exciting drum beat. The song talks about facing hardship headstrong and holding on till you conquer it. (“Through the highs and through the lows”)The middle of the song is a hard rock verse that is raw and intense. The mouth percussion after the verse shifts the song into its original mold
“Duma key” is the next song on the record. This song has a groovy electric guitar and drum intro. The song is about the complexities of relationships. The vocal performance is wild and the song’s structure morphs at one point in time giving the song different proportions. This song was a real Gras banger
Next up is a song called “The Day We All Fall Apart”. The intro of this is yet again another energetic introduction. The song illustrates a character who is reminiscing about a day they all fell apart. According to this character, that day is in the past but it is vital they keep remembering so they can remain focused and never return to that fateful day. The male and female vocalization was a beautiful surprise and gives the song a little kick because it’s already so colorful and vibrant
“Cellophane Guts” is the title of the next song. This song comes out the door very exciting and compelling. The song is a metaphor for calling someone a coward or a person who has a soft gut. The vocal performance is primal and in your face but in the best possible way. The song changes its tempo in the middle with an array of instrumental solo
“ Jonathan sails the open seas” is the song that follows. When the song starts you hear ocean waves crashing and seagulls chirping to stimulate your mind and mentally help you picture where the character of the song is. The rest of the song is electric guitar and drum solo. This solo builds and builds and the drum sounds oscillate in and out of the song. This song gives listeners the full and immersive experience and ends with a nice guitar flourish
“Tattooine Drifter” is the title of the next song. This song has an upbeat introduction. Listeners should buckle up because the song will take you on a crazy and wild sonic adventure unlike anything you’ve heard before and that electric guitar solo?!!, was just face face-melting and awesome performance. This song left me speechless and it’ll happen to you too
The last song on the album is “All we love will be carried away”. This song starts with waves crashing sounds. This song has a somber vibe. The wave sounds mean that we are carried by the waves, not in a metaphorical way. The song opens with waves crashing and ends with waves crashing. This beautiful song closes up the album
Mr Denton On Doomsday is known for clever, insightful lyrics that delve deep into the world of politics as well as personal conflicts and the degradation of rock music as a whole. This album was very good. The band really pulled their weight and gave the album their all. Every single song on the album was extremely good and it truly was an unforgettable sonic journey. This band is going places so join now and be a fan before they blow up!!, because it is inevitable
