KETE BOWERS LOOKS FOR A WAY TO ESCAPE WITH HIS SONG AND VIDEO “BLACKWATER”

No Comments Review

Greetings dearest gentle readers and music lovers. We welcome English artists. Kete released a song and its video on 8th February called “BlackWater”. Let’s talk more about the song and the video

The song starts with a flat line and dark sounds before the guitar sounds and when the video starts, the character is lying on the ground in black and white

The video cuts to a character walking down a road alone. The video then moves on to burning buildings and lightning. The video continues with the character singing in what seems to be a priest’s chair. The video then shows a woman in a white dress sitting in a chair. Her looks and how the video is shot really solidify the song’s theme of being where you don’t really want to be and dying there. As the video continues, viewers are shown clips of horrifying images about conflict and war. We are shown an explosion and a shot of vultures flying around in the sky. We see the character again, staring at the clearing, a woman floating in the water and covered with dirt. The rest of the video contains images of soldiers, and a candle and finally ends with the character who was lying on the ground again

The video takes advantage of the black and white colors to depict the message of the songs. The images tell a story that the character didn’t want to die in black water especially now the person has seen conflict heading his way. The shots, angles, and images in this moving picture are beautiful and poetic

Anything can be your “blackwater” in life and we appreciate the artist for reminding us. Viewers are given a chance to really see the man behind the curtain of this song. The guitar melodies were beautiful and what you get is the profound beauty of a song and video. Kete really knocked the ball out of the park with this song and look forward to viewing and hearing more projects from him
