As the holidays approach, Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart, stars of Just Friends, celebrated the 18th anniversary of their holiday romantic comedy with… An advertisement for Reynolds’ Aviation American Gin, that is. Reynolds and Smart appear to be playing Just Friends characters Chris Brander and Jamie Palamino, the pub owner, at the beginning of the video. Jamie, smart, says her day at work was ‘not fantastic’, because the bar ran out of Aviation American Gin, as she enters their home, which is decked out with all manner of Christmas decorations.

Just to make clear that it’s all in good fun, the video ends with a round of applause for Smart after she wraps her filming. Those fans who have waited 18 years for an actual sequel to Just Friends will have to keep waiting, but they can at least can enjoy some goofs and spoofs between the stars in the meantime.
