Greetings everyone!! You’re so welcome to our blog. Today we highlight the amazing work of rapper Jay Kurdy. Jay Kurdy, a Manchester native, demonstrates the viability of 90s-inspired rap with his release of the song “Rise Again” which features Rob Wheeler and was released on 10th March. The song symbolizes the message that Jay Kurdy has been putting forth great effort to instill in the youth of the country that it is important to rise again. Let me tell you more about the song.
The song opens with a beautiful background composed of opulent piano notes, and Kurdy delivers a riveting and powerful rap performance that will excite and delight all of your senses
The song in itself reflects the lesson that Jay Kurdy has been trying so hard to teach the young people in this country: it’s okay to fail as long as you get back up. He preaches that it’s okay to go through trials and tribulations (”been through the darkness, pain, and the rain, felt the shame in my veins as I lost my way”) but eventually, you have to pull yourself together, and keep fighting (”rise, rise again, until the fear that drives your weakness turns to strength”). Kudos to Kurdy for Such impactful and inspiring words!
Jay Kurdy’s conscious and clean rap verses, which bounce back and forth with guest singer and producer Rob Wheeler’s poignant pop choruses, fantastic piano elements, and the electric guitar solo give the track a different feel and the trade in ostentatious claims for strength in humility!
Jay’s early years were obscured by a sense of “otherness” since he was the only black student in his school of more than 700 until Year 10. Jay experienced diverse treatment during his adolescence and went on perilous travels, but martial arts and music helped him to overcome them. He is now using his music with his song “ Rise Again” as a perfect example To inspire the next generation to believe in their ability to rise again. Congratulations to Jay for rising up himself and using his bad experiences to help the youth!!
