JAM WITH THE ALL’S EYE BAND THROUGH THEIR NEW EP “SATURDAY SESSIONS”

No Comments Music

Greetings to all my devoted readers and music fans everywhere. Let’s give a warm welcome to US band The All’s Eye. The All’s Eye, an energetic trio consisting of Ari Joshua (guitar), Ben Atkind (drums), and Kris Yunker (organ), just released their latest EP, “Saturday Sessions”, soon. These two tracks were recorded live at Barbershop Studios as part of Emmy-winning producer Matt Rifino’s Saturday Sessions series. The songs showcase a raw, analog-driven sound bursting with soulful grooves, trippy soundscapes, and fearless improvisation. Let’s talk more about the songs

The title track of the EP is “Gramama”. These two tracks song open with a burst of vibrant and colorful fusion of instruments, this intro will catch your attention immediately. The song is a soulful, gospel-inflected memorial to Ari Joshua’s late grandmother Queenie, who ghostwrote sermons for her husband. Set to a gospel-inspired, electric bluegrass train beat, the song transmits ancestral love and spiritual resilience. Just like Joshua, the character in the song, talks and celebrates his bond and memories of his precious grandmother. The song was so endearing and powerful, the instrumentation was also perfect especially when it comes to the guitar solo and the organ sounds. Listeners are sure to resonate with it deeply

The second and final song on the EP is titled “Say what you wanna say”. This song also opens with upbeat instrumentation that is very catchy and foot-tapping. In the song we meet a character who is edging someone on, he keeps pushing, asking someone to speak up and say what is on his or her mind. (“Say what you want to say”) The All’s Eye’s new arrangement reimagines the piece with edgy psych-rock and jazz-laced improvisation, resulting in a blazing, modern rendering. This enjoyable song concludes the EP

This EP was so fun and exciting. You could tell how much fun the band had when they recorded the songs, and they did it in one take which is beyond amazing. Music elevates your mood instantly especially if you feel the joy that was the driving force for it and allows you to also let loose and have fun too. This EP is concrete proof that the band is very talented and I look forward to hearing more of their music
