Greetings dearest gentle reader and music fans across the globe. Today, we highlight the talents of US artist Rick Lee Vinson Group. The band released a new song on 2nd September. This new song is called “The Ballad Of Stuff That Never broke my heart”. Let’s talk more about the song
The song is a burst of energy right from the jump and you are just mesmerized anxiously waiting for what’s to come.
This song expresses the idea that no amount of pain can ever compare to that of a broken heart. The persona begins to list various instances where he was physically hurt but shrugs it off because it can’t compare to his pain(” It wasn’t the bottle that broke my heart it was you when you walked”). He goes on to list more instances of pain which he says cannot compare to his broken heart (”at least the door never broke my heart”). The song is upbeat but the lyrics paint a picture depicting the opposite feeling and it is nice to have these opposite things coming together in unison, creating the perfect song
The song has country influences but there are traces of rock music because of the electric guitar solo. The song has these addictive guitar strums that are so powerful especially at the end of the song, giving it a nice little flair and flourish
The song highlights the fact that sometimes the scars or pain we carry inside cannot be compared to any type of physical, no matter how painful an outward scar is meted out, heartbreak is the ultimate pain. This is a unique message and although it is a heartbreak song, it doesn’t follow the heartbreak song route where everything is going to be okay, instead, it tells listeners that it is going to hurt, a lot and you have to succumb to that feeling. The band did so well sharing this message. They are very talented and will go far in the music industry
