Greetings dearest readers and music fans, let’s welcome back to our blog Harry Kappen. Kappen is an independent Dutch musician, producer, and music therapist. He is an experienced musician and multi-instrumentalist who has played in numerous bands in the Netherlands, as well as produced many Dutch pop bands. I became a fan of Kappen when I listened to his most recent album called Time Will Tell”. That album has become one of my go-to albums recently. Kappen has returned to us, but he didn’t come empty-handed. He came bearing gifts in the form of a new single called “ Where the Volcano Is Awake”. Released on 20th September, this song was one of my favorite songs from his album. Let’s talk more about it

The intro is some soft and demure instrumentation before Kappen behinds his stunning vocal performance. My first impression of this song was that the protagonist has resolved to quit sulking and see life as what it is, which is a place full of unexplored and playground of possibilities (”I’m embracing this world full of passion and fire where the volcano’s awake”). This song teaches listeners to never waste a single moment in life, no matter what they face or feel, the song is a pure embodiment of the popular face “Go where life takes you”. Unbeknownst to me, the song was based on the artist’s personal experience. The song is about him bidding goodbye to his own home in the Netherlands and is also about expectations, independence, and his love for his wife’s native Mexico.

There is a tremendous electric guitar solo that will leave your mouth gaping and these catchy mouth percussions (“la la la”) will have you singing along before long. The song was very advisory and very enthralling.

Wow, what a great song. I’m glad I’ve got this eye-opening fact about the message of the song. This new information has made me see the song in a completely different light and I love it even more. Not only is it analytical, heartfelt, and profound it is also an ideal ‘road song’ to belt out in your vehicle. Harry continues to take on new challenges, in life and music, relying on his own skills and the love of those around him, while not knowing how the future will pan out, and that is what makes me love him and his music even more. Let’s get rid of the past and welcome the future by using the encouraging phrases from his song. Harry is a superstar with a heart of gold and he will dominate the industry.
