No Comments Music

Warmest greetings to all my lovely readers and music fans worldwide. Today we welcome talented artist Frida Nova to our blog. Swedish musician Frida NOVA combines elements of jazz and ambient indie pop with other genres of dance, electropop, and soul music. On January 24, her new album, “REBIRTH,” was published. With its nine self-produced original tracks, the album launches her musical career in a new direction as she plays with a more pop-oriented sound. Let’s dive into the details of this album

The title track of the album is called “Lifetime”. The song opens with this synth-like but dreamy guitar sound. The song talks about another lifetime. Some people believe that we are all reincarnated. I wasn’t a believer until I heard this song and also learned the mentality of seizing the day. Frida gave a very noteworthy performance and the instrumentation just uplifted the song even more. With eight more songs to go, this song tells you the sentiments you are going to experience in this album

“Base camp” is the next song on this record. This song has a jazzy vibe that is really fun from the beginning. The song describes a person or a place we can go and just feel at home (“No struggle can haunt us”). No matter which one it is, this song talks about this place or person as our light at the end of the tunnel. The instrumentation is fun and has very fun electric guitar moments that will blow you away, but wait, you can’t appreciate this song without mentioning the outstanding vocal performance

“The Healing Mountain” is the third song on the album. The song opens with these gorgeous piano notes that are very captivating. The character in the song is ready to lay down the things that trouble her and move forward (“I’m gonna lay down my burden on the ground”). The instrumentation on this song is very chameleon-like, in the very beginning, it sounds like a ballad but then, it switches to haze-like sounds with the piano still doing its thing

Up next is the song “Still Believers”. The song opens with these delicate and dreamy guitar sounds. The song encourages listeners to keep going (“Life goes on”). The message of the song tells us that trials and tribulations will indeed come but we must keep fighting and never back down. Frida again gives an excellent vocal performance that listeners will really enjoy

“Rainbow” is up next on the album. The song opens with these synth-pop sounds. The song talks about positivity and feeling good (“I’m floating through the clouds”). The synth sounds really popped off in this song

“Syzygy” is the song that comes next. This song is a synth/techno song that you will never forget. Listeners get a treat in their ears due to the trumpet and mouth percussion sounds. Get ready to dance to this foot-tapping song. This song gives listeners a small dance break in the album

“Unexpected” is the song that follows. The song opens with uplifting jazz sounds. The song talks about change which is unexpected. The song talks about self-development that creeps up on you

“Lyfja” is the song that comes next. This song contains very danceable sounds. This song talks about no pain and no distress.

The final song is “Away from Darkness”. Now this song opens with calm sounds, sounds synonymous with sounds played in spas for meditation and calming. Frida gives a warm performance that is unforgettable and gives listeners a great goodbye to this album

Despite having a new stage name, Frida NOVA has been performing and composing music for a long time under the name Frida Matsdotter, composing in the jazz, world, and classical genres. No matter the names that she takes on, she is dedicated to making good and impactful music like the songs on this album. Frida is a superstar and I can’t wait to hear more music from her
