Released in January his debut album “Cherished” received a number of accolades, including a spot on the Earshot National Top 50 and a number one spot at CJSF 90.1fm for the week of May 2.”Cherished” was selected the Best Album of 2022 by the music blog Indie Boulevard. Since 2006, he has been involved in the Canadian independent music scene, using straightforward songwriting and instrumentation to continuously change his external representation. The “Self-Titled EP” that his electro-funk combo Fur-Bearing Animals published in 2008 sold over 1500 copies and peaked at number one on the Earshot charts. On 17th November, he released a song called “Birds and Bees”. Let’s talk more about it

Pranatricks’ latest track has been released. A fantastic universe of fantasy, passion, and instinct is explored in this beautiful indie rock and alternative ode. The narrative, which is driven by a doubled vocal line over an electric guitar, reveals a love tale that is based on miscommunication and an effort to use the characters’ shared passion to overcome their differences and let love lead. The character in the song tells her lover that in misinterpretation of their shared life, they recalled the story that taught them about love and unity. Perhaps there was less mystery surrounding their origins for a while, but they were unable to understand any of it.

A Rhodes piano, drums, percussion, and many synth lines are added, and the unrelenting allure ends with a sensual turn. In order to create a devotional aspect that should be respected in all close relationships, the song then delves into the abstraction of multiple layered synth arpeggios that build around a chorus of horns. Many of the song’s elements were recorded in various home studios located throughout the City of Vancouver after it was created back in 2011. Lastly, Anthony Shackell added the trumpets earlier this year in Pranatricks’ Comox Valley studio.

This was a passionate and fiery song. The song is evidence of Pranatricks ‘ talent and I can’t wait to see him get to the top.
