Asaf Ashkenazy is a multi-talented artist from Givatayim, Israel, who not only writes and composes his own music, but produces and collaborates with Shahar Kaufman, and brings his vision to life with the help of talented musicians such as drummers Shai Baruch and Shahar Haziza, bassists Tzook Dvorak and Michael Frost, keyboardists Moshe Levi and Gidi Hertz, and vocalists Isla Cohen, Nophar Levinger, and Odeta Mevuye. Asaf Ashkenazy’s musical style is a unique blend of rock, folk, and pop that captivates listeners all over the world, with influences ranging from Neil Young to Eric Clapton and Dire Straits. Asaf Ashkenazy’s most recent release, the original album “3rd,” an 8-song album was released on 24th January, let’s talk more about it

“They can’t stop the music” is the first song of the record. The song gets right into the vocal performance. The song talks about a character’s attachment to music and how he has no regrets about giving himself over to the music (”no regrets”). The instrumentation is top tier with everyone playing their part perfectly and giving us one hell of a solo. What a way to open the record

Next is the song “There’s no way”. The song opens with a cool instrumental intro. The song is about a person who is in a bad place with his partner and is telling her it is over between them but hopes she will call him back from the stars and his dreams. The desperation of the character is felt in this song performance and you will love the solo towards the end of the song

“Sunny Day” is the next song on the album. The song opens with a nice guitar riff. The song illustrates a character will is weighed by the trouble of the world. he compares the state of his life with walking in the sun but he knows that everything will be okay so he keeps going. The vocal performance was breathtaking and you will fall in love with it

Next is “Who do you love”. The tempo of the song is soft and beautiful. The character in the song has fallen in love so deeply and is waiting for Heero to feel something for him when if it is a drop of love, he’s taking her home. The instrumentation and the guitar solo fuse with the song performance to give a meaningful musical journey

“Keep your heart” is the title of the next song. The song opens with a nice melody. The song is talking about a relationship that was doomed fr the start and the character has realized it and is asking to keep her heart. The mouth percussion was beautiful and listeners will delight in you

“It was a joke” is the next song. The song’s intro is very bright. The song is about a person who made a joke that someone didn’t like at all. He tries to make it up to her but it doesn’t seem to be working. This song has a catchy melody that is easy to follow and enjoy

“How” is the next song on the record. This song opens with harmonica and piano sounds. The song is about a person who tells his lover that if she needs something she should say something because he wouldn’t know she knows something unless she says it. This song takes listeners into this story with its descriptive lyrics and catchy melody

The last song on the album is called “Angel”. The song opens with soft instrumentation. The song is about a character who is giving his all to his lover(” Hold my hand, take my heart”). The song is stripped down and listeners hear the range of his vocals and it creates a very emotionally charged listening experience
