Greetings dearest gentle readers and esteemed music lovers, Let’s welcome Stefan Kristinkov to our digital space. Based in New York City, Stefan Kristinkov is an eclectic composer best recognized for his work in independent films. He is also a very experienced clarinetist.

His 11-song album called “Notes of the Observer” released on 28th August combines aspects of post-minimalist aesthetics and eclectic clarinet with elements of ambient electronic, new age, crossover jazz, and neo-classical genres. Stefan Kristinkov skilfully combines his composing, clarinet playing, and reverence for nature to produce a captivating cinematic experience. Let’s talk more about the album

The album’s title track is “Notes of the Observer”. The album’s namesake starts with a lush and glacier-like sound while maintaining the electronica synth sounds that are so very mesmerizing and unilateral sound that is very soothing, calming, and relaxing that you would want to just put on and let your mind drift and release all your stress. This song paves the way for the rest of these amazing songs

“Legacy or Due” is the next song. The song opens with these ethereal and magnificent sounds. The song has this ambiance and allure that just draws you in, you are magnetized unable to do anything else except sit and let the music move ear to ear and wash over you repeatedly.

Next is the song, “Fading on a Rustle”. The opening of this song is so warm and intricate that you can literally hear every single note and every single harmony. The song has a pulsating rhythm that feels like a singular sound but it is not. The song strips layer after layer and you end up marveling at the wonder this song is

“Mirrored Lake” is the song up next. Right when the song starts you are instantly enveloped by the sounds, the synths, and the oscillation movement of the sound from high to low, back and forth. You will love the highs and dwell on but you will also love the lows. This song is a majestic rollercoaster

Next is the song “Silenced Guardian”. The song is an angelic song with a gorgeous and very seamless fusion of sounds that will create such a yummy and dreamy soundscape that you will find yourself going back because you just can’t get enough

Next is the song “Cracked Roots”. This song starts with a hauntingly beautiful sound. The clarinet is fusion with a cascade of other instruments but it doesn’t go overboard. Stefan made sure that every single instrument played on this song could be heard without any of them overshadowing each other.

Next is the song “Missing voices”. If you’ve made it this far in the album congrats, here is where you the dark side of Stefan’s creativity. Unlike the others, this song is dark, sultry, and eerie and I do believe that this is a compilation of missing voices giving them a chance to hear it is just beautiful and outstanding

Next is the song “Fog veiled Wonders”. This is another dark yet orchestral piece that will leave you breathless and speechless. The song is soft yet dark, lush yet urgent and when you start listening you are immediately hooked and thrilled

“Granite and Pine” is the next song. This song is another song that is orchestral and very magnificent. The song oozes emotion and will thrill you sonically

“Eagles Solitude” is the next song. As per the title of the song I think this song is about the solitude eagles feel when they are soaring high above the clouds and above everything. The immersive nature of the song makes you feel like you’re right with the eagles soaring above the sky

The last song on the album is titled “Rusted Pathways”. This farewell song is incredibly cinematic and awesome. The song stirred up a lot of emotions within me and it was the perfect choice to end this musical journey

Stefan has exceeded my expectations. Because he has cinematic experience, he exploits that when it comes to composing and arranging the music. These songs were all immersive and through them, you could explore anywhere you wanted by just listening to music. Stefan is very talented and there is nowhere to go now except UP!
