No Comments News

Welcome one and all to our prestigious blog. Let’s welcome to our blog US Artist Sentinel Events. Sentinel Events has published their full-length sophomore album “Trendelenburg Dreams”, a 10-track album that was released on 25th July. This eagerly anticipated follow-up concept album focuses on their unclassifiable art-rock style, confessional songwriting, and satirical plot, which were presented in their debut album, Poor Historian, published in 2023. Let’s talk more about their latest album

“Morning Prayer” is the album’s title track. The song starts with a recording of a chapelin who is leading the Moring prayer to give thanks. The entirety of the song is a chapel interceding for the hospital where he works. He prays for the patients to recover and staff to have the fortitude to work. The song opens up the album and eases listeners into the album

Next is the song “Silent Aspirations”. The song opens with a bright electric guitar strum. The song is a medical phrase that describes how a patient chokes on fluid discharges while sleeping. (” Try not to choke whilst I’m sleeping”)This introspective song begins the vivid dreams and hospitalization themes that return throughout the album. The song is cool even though the instrumentation is colorful and bright.

“Sternal precaution” is the next song. The song’s intro is an energetic guitar and drum beat. The song is about someone who is in rehab and has been cautioned by the nurse to be careful when lifting stuff so as not to strain his injury(”no more Than fifteen pounds”). The energetic guitar strum is heard at the end of the song as well and will captivate you

“Valladolid” is the next song. The song’s intro is soft and delicate. The song is about a relationship where one person felt imperfect(”knew I couldn’t make you happy I just tried not to make it worse”). The song has a female backing him, elevating him, and their duet is a real slice of heaven

Next is the song “Fall Risk” The song has a cool intro as the artist sings about a relationship that was getting broken(”I lost my balance the moment I knew that we were two completely different people never meant to have met”). He admits it’s his fault for the relationship’s fracture and talks about how he unloaded a lot of his baggage on her. In the end, he accepts that he’s incomplete and accepts defeat. The song is a foot-tapping song with a smooth vocal performance and perfect instrumentation

“Bluebird of Happiness” is the next song. The song has a tender and sweet guitar intro. It seems like the character in this song has searched for true love and happiness. (”I searched for you endlessly, I know somewhere out there always”). Fortunately, he found happiness. The song is beautiful and you will fall in love with its charms

Next is the song titled “Glass Psyche”. The song has an upbeat intro which has the piano in its forefront. The song is about a persona who felt and Reaped the highs and fruits of love and is now reaping its downsides as well (”I felt high and now I die inside”). It seems that he’s still unable to forget her even though they have parted ways (” You live inside my psyche”). The song is magical and will thrill you sonically

Next is the song “Do not resuscitate”. The opening is bright yet subdued. The song is similar to the term used in the medical field to describe people in a coma or comatose patients who are taken off life support. The patients usually sign this report and leave it to family or people they trust to execute this order when there is no hope for them to survive. This song follows the hospitalization theme. Musically, the vocal performance is top tier per usual and will take you on an enjoyable musical experience

Next is the song “No Funeral”. The song is a slow slow song. This is a beautiful ballad whose tempo builds a little after the intro. The song describes someone who was close to him. A person who has passed away that there was no funeral for him or her (”there was no funeral”).musically speaking the song’s intro is a bit misleading and gives you the impression that the song was a ballad which it is not. That was absolutely brilliant

The last song on the album is called “Rx Roulette”. The song is a fusion of guitar, drum, and a recording of a doctor assuring them that everything is going to be okay. The song is about a patient who is seeking help for his or her internal battle (” self-sabotage is such a romantic way to die”). This song romanticizes death but not in a good way. The end of this song is a doctor talking to a patient who had just woken up. He tells the patient that it seems like he or she was dreaming and was speaking Spanish at a point and tell him or her to relax. The song is the culmination of the story of a character in a hospital with heavy hospitalization themes. With this song, the album comes to an end

This was a brilliant album. The ability of Sentinel Events to weave a story spun over 10 amazing songs. I was very captivated throughout the album as the songs were engaging and very enjoyable. Sentinel Events is a musical genius and I can’t wait to hear more from him
