No Comments Review

Greetings dearest gentle readers and music fans. Today we welcome the US band Ubiquity machine. The genre-bending alternative band Ubiquity Machine is well-known for its catchy sounds and clever lyrics. Howard Rabach and The Rabbit are a talented pair that succeeds at turning introspective thoughts into catchy melodies. On 6th January, the band released a five-song EP called “Romeo and Juliet ”. Let’s talk more about it

The title track is “Romeo and Juliet”. The song opens with a nice synth-pop sound. In the song, the character is amazed about how his lover chose him and why she loves him(“Oh you said I’m your Romeo”). The vocal performance is very beautiful and the song radiates love and happiness. This song opens the album

Up next is “Betty and Steve”. The song starts in an upbeat way. The character in the song admits to his lover that he wasn’t really in love with her (“I don’t think that I love you”). The vocals, mouth percussion, hand clap sounds, and the trumpet give this a spicy nod colorful kick and listeners will love it

“I think it’s funny” is the next song. The song has a short intro. The song talks about subtle manipulation, control, and repression(“I think it’s funny they want to keep us down down down”). The group did a good job with this song especially the electric guitar solo because it’s very captivating

The fourth song is called “Met a Boy”. The song had a very chill vibe to it, right from the start. The song talks about meeting a boy (“I met a boy that I like too much”). But it is so much more and way bigger. We learn the importance of love and what it brings (“love is free and love is easy”), which is something that we need in these times. The song in totality is a song with good lyrics, amazing instrumentation, and killer vocals to boot

The last song on the EP “Losing Your Mind” This song is built on a bass foundation that is rock solid!! The song illustrates a character who is going through a tough time that he too, is facing a similar situation. He then offers that they go and have fun to distract them (“Don’t you think I’m losing mine?”). Sometimes we know that something is wrong but until we are ready to face it, covering it up with a band-aid is okay too. The bass holds this song together and the piano solo is also fantastic. This amazing song ends with the song

Ubiquity Machine is known for pushing musical limits and is here to keep you thinking and dancing at the same time. The songs were profound and I found myself dancing to them because of how foot tapping it is. This group has star power and they knocked it out of the park!
