No Comments Review

Greetings, our most cherished readers and music lovers worldwide! Let’s welcome back to our blog The Norwegian band Electric High.to Electric High. The members of Electric High, based in Bergen, Norway, are Tor Helge Opdahl on drums, Marius Mørch on guitar, PV Staff on vocals, Olav Iversen on vocals, and Einride Torvik on bass. My first experience with the band was when I listened to their hit single “Hear me out”. Some would have believed that the band would have taken a beat to swim in the success of their single but they stepped on the gas instead to bring to us a full-fledged album called “Colorful white lies”. The 13-song album was released on 25th October. Let’s dive into the details of this album

“Sun” is the first song on the album. The song starts with these awesome drum sounds before a highly enthusiastic guitar sound sets in. The song is about a character who feels stuck in a particular way and asks for some light in his life. The instrumentation on this song is crazy and it awakes something primal within you. Before long I was chanting “sun” along with the song. This incredible song opens the album in grand style

Next is the song “Harder to Justify”. The opening of this song has a bit of country in it. The character in the song laments that some things are harder to justify. The repetition of the line “harder to justify” shows how the character is eager to let you know and uses repetition to drive home his point. The mouth percussions were spot on and the song towed between the lines of country and rock which are usually two genres that are not mixed often

Next is the album’s namesake “colorful white lines”. The intro is very upbeat and exciting. The song is an incredible song with outstanding and the song’s structure reminds me of the song “We Will, We Will Rock You”. The guitar and drum solo were so thrilling and enjoyable

“Seven Wonders” is the song up next. This is yet another classic rock intro. The character talks about making a mausoleum to remember someone after he or she dies and promises to build this person the seven wonders. I won’t try to list the seven wonders of the world because I don’t know them by heart but I do know that these seven wonders are great monuments and telling someone you’re going to build them one seems to me as if you going to every length to impress this person. The vocal performance is so good and passionate and the instrumentation is so mesmerizing

“Wasted” is the next song on the album. The song opens with a huge and mighty guitar strum. The song illustrates a character who is very drunk and is talking about how he functions poorly when he is drunk. I had to pause this song and take in the guitar solo because it was nothing like I’d ever heard before and so was the drum solo. This was an incredible song that will excite you through and through

Next is the song “Go Easy on My Heart”. This song opens with a very nice guitar intro. The persona in the song pleads with his current lover to treat him well (” Please go easy on my heart”). I believe what the character was asking of his lover is the bare minimum a partner should provide. The instrumentation Is very upbeat despite the message in the song. I like that the band went in a different direction when singing about matters of the heart. Those who were expecting a ballad are in for a big and good surprise

Next is a song called “Cyclone”. The song starts with a vocal performance. The song talks about how life is a disaster but he remains the ringleader and will take control The “hey” that is shouted after a particular line was very fun to listen to and will be even better when you listen to it live and shout right back when the band wants you to. The guitar solo wasn’t ordinary because the sound went in and out instead of going steady throughout the solo

“Royals in Rags” is the next song on the album. The song opens with these delicious guitar sounds that catch your attention right away. The song is a sonically charged song with an amazing guitar solo. This song will take you on an exciting sonic journey

Next is the song ” Crooks”. This opens with synth sounds and lovely mouth percussions. The song talks about a character who prefers to stay dead rather than be alive in the hands of crooks. The song has quiet parts where the song had this folksy and sea shanty vibe but then the tempo changes into a rock song complete with an electric guitar solo

“Rough Diamond” is the song that follows. Guitar sounds greet you for the intro. The song illustrates a character who prefers to keep to himself and not reveal himself for fear of being exploited. The vocal performance is passionate and the instrumentation will take you on a Wild Journey

” Weeping Gods” is the song that is up next. The song opens with dramatic instrumentation. The song talks about a person who claims to have seen the tears of the weeping gods The vocal performance is so demure as compared to the instrumentation. The song is very exciting and breathes new life into the album

“Hear me out” is the song that comes next. The intro is very electrifying. The song talks about a character who is asking to be heard. The song is very intense, passionate, and wild. Can we give the guitar a moment?? Because it was ridiculously good

The last song on the album is titled “Siren’s Lullaby”. The intro of the song is very upbeat. The song is about a character who is trying to block out the sound of sirens. Sirens are mystical creatures that lure sailors in with their beautiful songs and lead them to their death. The performance is so so magnetizing and I can tell you for sure that you will have it on repeat. With this song, the album comes to an end

I am incredibly privileged to have listened to this album. There wasn’t a single song that I wanted to skip. The songs were very very good. The guitar work on these songs is so good you will get hooked on it. It was intricate yet wild and had a distinct melody with each song. Electric High has made a body of songs that are legendary and I can’t wait to hear more music from them
