No Comments News

Greetings dearest reader and music lovers let’s welcome the extremely talented artist Cybophonia. “Nothing More” is the new album released by Cybophonia, the artistic alias of Eros Minichiello, a multi-talented musician, producer, and DJ from Locarno, Switzerland. A major turning point in Minichiello’s career, this 13 album demonstrates his extraordinary ability to move across a wide variety of styles and signals a clear change in his artistic approach. Let’s talk more about this album

The first song on the record is titled “Inspired by Angels”. The opening of this song is the sound of a ticking clock. The guitar sounds that follow are dreamy and glamorous. The next instruments to take center stage are the piano sounds and ethereal mouth percussions. This song is indeed inspired by angels because it is how you imagine angels to sound like. The song transports you to heaven but it isn’t brief because after the song has ended you still hear it in your head and it feels so good. This was the perfect song to introduce listeners to the album

Next is the song “Sunday travel round”. The song is a dreamy pop sound right from the beginning. This song is a metaphor about life in totality, it describes the strength of the human spirit and its resilience (“ I won’t back down, travel round, we travel around the world, lifetime”). This song bears the markings of the artist’s signature dream-pop sound, displayed in this song “Sunday Travel Round”.With acoustic riffs and guitar arpeggios that have come to define Cybophonia’s updated sound, the song provides the ultimate sonic experience.

“These walls” is the next song on the album. This song opens with beautiful guitar sounds. The song is a heart-wrenching song about the difficulty of breakups. The character in the song is heartbroken as we watch his lover pack up all her stuff and begin to leave, he laments about the broken relationship and how his ex will never see the walls in the room where they used to lay their heads(“maybe, you won’t see these walls again”). The vocal performance is tender and really draws your attention to the pain the character is feeling and so does the pause in the song, these pauses give the song a dramatic feel Through this song we experience how eclectic this song is, how well it fits in the album and it will delight you

Next is the song called “Northern Lights”. The song begins with some sweet guitar sounds. The song’s sounds are very unpredictable and exciting. I imagine this song to be the perfect vibe on how seeing the northern lights in person will feel. There is an electric guitar solo in there which will really float your boat. This song again shows how eclectic and coherent the songs (this included) on the album really are

“Rocco freeway master” is the song that is up next. The intro of the song is guitar sounds. These guitar sounds are just incredibly powerful and beautiful. You might expect the melody of the song to stay the same as most instrumentals sound like but you will be surprised by the versatility of this song. The song was specially mastered by the artist to fit the album and he deserves a round of applause for this masterpiece

Next is “Resurrected love”. The song opens with dreamy pop sounds. The song is about a person who is willing to give his relationship another go-around. (“This time we need to be much stronger”)He tries to convince his lover that they can have a clean slate again by going through the pain and preparing themselves for another chance at love(“then resurrected”). The vocal work on this particular song is very thrilling. This song again shows the versatility of the album as he incorporates some hard rock and electric guitar elements to the song which was a nice little touch to this incredible song

Next is a song called “The Dark Side of Our Mind”. The opening of this song is a very cheery opening despite the title of the song. The song talks about a character who is in a constant battle in his mind to prevent it from turning dark. (“Our spirit shouts and fights as if they were designed to explore the dark side of our mind”)This song is so relatable because sometimes we want to give up and let the darkness take over but the song teaches us and encourages us to keep fighting and I applaud the artist for this message. The song was reimagined with a folk-rock twist in this song

Next is the song “La plume”. This song opens with gentle rain sounds and a very tender guitar strum. The rain sound starts again but is overtaken by the guitar sounds again. It is unsurprising that this song has rain sounds in it because the title of the song means rain in English. With the incorporation of the rain sounds and light thunder sounds listeners get an immersive experience and can picture a rainy day just by listening, no matter what season is. Sounds that you can picture in your head is a very good song and this song gives you that picture thereby increasing its star power

Next is the song “La polvere delle nuvole”. The sound starts with a gorgeous guitar and piano mixture and some soft beats in the background. This song is sung totally in Italian: the song has traces of swing jazz which are amazing to listen to

Next is the song “Pluto breeze”. The song has a cool vibe right from the very start. The song has bold electronic drum and bass rhythms scattered throughout the song and it will delight you with its incredible charm

Next is the song “Old School Prayer”. The song is very groovy right from the very beginning. It has this 80s and 90s hip hop feel to it especially the record scratching like the DJs of that era used to do. This song will make you feel nostalgic especially if you’re a person born in those eras. This was just amazing and it breathes new life into the album

Next is the song “Keep Breathing”. The song starts with very tender guitar sounds which are then mixed in with a subtle drum beat. The song will be good for meditation and I think the title suits the song completely. The mouth percussions were heavenly and This song was a beautiful auditory experience

The last song on the album is called “Arma a doppio Taglio”. This is also a song sung in Italian. This song yet again shows the eclecticism of the songs on the album and how coherent the album is. You might not understand the song but you will fall in love with it regardless because Italian is the second best and sexy language aside from Spanish and French. Indeed everything sounds better in Italiano. This beautiful song brings the album to an end

Cybophonia has a broad background in cinema, TV, and radio soundtracks. He has shown fans and people listening to his music that he is talented and a professional through and through. This multitalented artist sought to create music that brings people together despite the language barrier and I applaud him for that. Good music breaks boundaries just like this album did. He is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
