CONNECT WITH NATURE IN SPARKLE GLITCH’S “BATTLE MAIDEN” EP

No Comments Review

Greetings dearest readers and music fans, let’s give a warm welcome to artist Sparkle Glitch. Sparkle Glitch, a Los Angeles-based electropop musician, is the creator of the engaging Original EP “Battle Maiden.” Sparkle Glitch collaborates with producer Makro Music and uses her vast experience in classical choral music, EDM, ambient, disco, and dubstep to create a distinctive fusion of influences in her work. Her passion for layered sounds and the combination of natural and artificial components creates vibrant and unique instrumental palettes that are meant to evoke a sense of empowerment and fantasy in listeners. “Battle Maiden”, a six-song EP released on October 31st, sees Sparkle Glitch create a genuinely immersive soundscape by combining nature noises and experimental vocal techniques with several layers of sound through a painstaking recording process at Makro Music Studios in Los Angeles. Sparkle Glitch’s sincere approach to music comes through in the EP. Let’s talk more about this EP

The first song on the EP is called “Battle Maiden”. The song opens with operatic and choral sounds. The song is about a fearless warrior woman. The message of the song reminds me of the fictional DC character Wonder Woman, a fearless Amazonian warrior who came from an island of warrior women(“I’m not afraid”). The song is a cheery song with bright sounds backing it. This beautiful song opens the EP

The next song is called “Utopia”. This song has a chaotic but exciting best. The song is about a character who is trying to convince someone to come with her to a place of complete happiness and a place of total utopia. The electronica sounds give the song a spicy kick and give listeners full VIP access to tag along to this place of utopia

“Bluebird” is the title of the next song. The beginning of the song sounds like nature, birds chirping and just being outside. This song is very special to the artist because it is a tribute to her mom. In the song, she bares her soul and tells listeners what her mother meant to her and the lessons she taught her. This was an open, honest, and emotive performance

“Boy I never knew” is the title of the next song. The intro of the song is an array of sounds that surprisingly sound good together. The song is about a character who met someone who thrilled her but never even got his name so she can’t trace this remarkable person and the character is reminiscing in the song. This is yet another emotive and profound song about missed opportunities

Next up is the song “Immortal Dryad”. For a little context, dryads are tree spirits, it is even said that most trees in nature are actually dryads that have disguised themselves as trees. Because in ancient times people were told that these trees had lived within them, pollution and deforestation were very scarce because no one wanted to get the wrath of the gods. In the song, the character compares herself to dryads and how they are wild and carefree. The synth-pop sounds made the song very interesting to listen to

The last song on the album is “Elementals. The song starts with crystal-like sounds before the beat drops. The song talks about the elementals and someone who connects deep with nature just like the character in the song. This song is the EP’s curtain call and the EP ends with this song

With songs like “Bluebird” paying moving homage to the artist’s late mother, the EP explores themes of spirituality, grief, and imagination, all influenced by the artist’s own experiences of loss and recovery. The songs on the EP sought to empower and uplift listeners by providing a distinctive fusion of genres and emotions that are beautiful. I loved how pure these songs were and you will too. This artist is going places with this talent
