Rose McIver BIOGRAPHY

New Zealand actress Frances Rose McIver was born on October 10, 1988.She plays Summer Landsdown, the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers RPM (2009), and Olivia “Liv” Moore in The CW supernatural comedy-drama series iZombie (2015–2019). In the romantic comedy films A Christmas Prince (2017) and its two sequels, The Royal Wedding (2018) and The Royal Baby (2019), she also portrayed Amber Moore.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

John George Whitfield “Mac” McIver (b. 1951), a photographer, and Ann “Annie” (née Coney), an artist, reared McIver in Titirangi after she was born in Auckland. The home she grew up in is still occupied by her parents.Paul McIver, her elder brother, is a musician and former actor. Until she turned thirteen, she studied jazz and ballet dancing.

McIver was a prefect her senior year of Avondale College. Her diploma came in 2006.She did not finish her degree at the University of Auckland, where she majored in psychology and linguistics.In between her acting gigs, she worked part-time as a babysitter and as an importer of bananas through Fair Trade.As the conscience of the listener, she participated in their “All Good Bananas” promotion.

ACTING CAREER

For New Zealand television, McIver has primarily worked on dramas like Rude Awakenings and fantasy-based shows like Maddigan’s Quest. She has also acted in TV films such Maiden Voyage and the Hercules film series. She has also acted in two Disney Channel films, Eddie’s Million Dollar Cook-Off (2003) and Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board (2007), the latter of which is a follow-up to Johnny Tsunami (1999). She portrayed Ranger Yellow Summer Landsdown in 32 episodes of Power Rangers RPM on television from March to December 2009.

McIver put her studies at the University of Auckland on hold, and traveled to Los Angeles for a couple of top secret projects.

It was revealed in July 2013 that McIver had been cast as Tinker Bell in a multi-episode plot arc for the television series Once Upon a Time.The news that McIver would return for season 6 broke in January 2017.McIver was chosen to play adult Cathy Dollanganger in the Lifetime television movie Petals on the Wind, which was based on the V. C. Andrews novel, in February 2014.

The CW announced in March 2014 that McIver would play Olivia “Liv” Moore in their upcoming series iZombie. The show debuted on March 17, 2015, one year later.On August 1, 2019, the show came to an end after five seasons and seventy-one episodes. It was reported in March 2017 that McIver was filming A Christmas Prince for Netflix, which was released on November 17, 2017, in Romania.In the 2018 follow-up A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and the 2019 sequel A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, where she played Amber Moore once more.

McIver was reportedly chosen to play a lead role in the CBS sitcom Ghosts in March 2020.It made its debut on October 7, 2021 .McIver represents Emirates Airlines as an ambassador as well
