EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Lee grew up in Indiana after being born in Arizona. In high school, he began performing.He attended Purdue University in Indiana to study political science with a minor in history.He relocated to Los Angeles, California, in the early 2010s with the intention of pursuing acting, but he quickly also developed an interest in painting, particularly portraiture, which he drew inspiration from his late father’s inherited photos.Although it started off as a hobby, art became a big aspect of his job when his Instagram art gained popularity.

CAREER

Lee performed as an actor in the drama series The Miracle We Met in South Korea in 2018.

In the comedic drama Beef,Lee starred as George Nakai, the sculptor husband of Amy Lau (Ali Wong), which debuted on Netflix on April 6, 2023.He considered the show’s nuanced depiction of Asian-American life to be “refreshing”.He received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Beef at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
