Taylor, Denarie Bautista[2][3][4][5][6] (born February 8, 1997[7]), also known professionally as Bella Poarch (/prt/ PORCH),[8] is an American singer, social media influencer, and former US Navy veteran of Filipino descent. She created the TikTok video with the most views on August 17, 2020, in which she performs a lip sync to the song “M to the B” by British rapper Millie B. She is the Filipino TikTok user who receives the most followers.[9][10][11] She made her solo debut with the song “Build a Bitch” in May 2021.[12]

Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 8, 1997[15].[14] Up to the age of three, she was nurtured by her grandmother in the slums before being adopted.[16] Her adoptive mother is Filipina, while her adoptive father is an American who had previously served in the US military. Before relocating to the Philippines, her parents first met in Saudi Arabia, where her adoptive father was stationed. She claims in an interview that she and her adopted brother suffered severe maltreatment from the time she was a little child until she enlisted in the military.

She recalls that she and her brother were not treated the same way as their adoptive sisters. Poarch claims that her father physically and verbally abused her, with her mother remaining complicit despite not intervening. Prior to moving to Texas when she was 13[14] because her father needed bypass surgery, her family (apart from her sisters, who still live in the Philippines) spent a few months living with her aunt in San Francisco. She claims that even though she was no longer the victim of physical violence, her father continued to torture her mentally at home.

On August 12, 2022, Poarch released her debut EP, titled Dolls. It features “Build a Bitch,” “Inferno,” and “Dolls,” her past singles, as well as the brand-new songs “Villain,” “No Man’s Land,” and “Living Hell.” Along with the EP, a music video for “Living Hell” made its debut. Grimes appears on “No Man’s Land” in addition to co-starring in the music video for “Dolls.”[27] Rolling Stone appreciated the EP’s gloomy pop vibe.[28] Moreover, “Villain” would be utilised in 2022 for WWE’s Extreme Rules premium live event. On September 15, 2023, she and Lauv released the song and music video for “Crush.”[29]

Poarch served in the US Navy before.[30] She joined the Navy in 2017 and was assigned to the musical branch as an aviation ordnanceman.[31][32] She completed her three years of service, spending time in Japan and Hawaii.

Tyler Poarch, a fellow seaman, and Poarch were married in 2019. In November 2022, she filed for divorce from him.[38]
