No Comments Review

Hello, dearest readers let’s welcome the American hotel system . Can You Hear It?” marks a new phase for the Grand Rapids quintet as The American Hotel System explores intensely emotive topics throughout its six cinematic tracks released on 17th November Let’s talk more about it

“It is about trying to find purpose in the echoes of our souls. , says the band The EP begins with the title track, “Can You Hear It?” which is a soaring bridge to their riff-heavy and anthemic first single, “Seattle.” The title was written following Betts’ attendance at a presentation on C.S. Lewis. The project’s overall mood is established by the title track, which is a tribute to spiritual longing. However, The American Hotel System also courageously tackles difficult subjects, such as Betts’ recovery from OCD in “Tripping” and the loss and sadness of a loved one in the sweeping finale “Not The End.” The band’s goal of encouraging selflessness is reaffirmed in “21st,” while the cathartic rocker “Fire” reminds us of the power of words. “Can You Hear It?” embodies The American Hotel System’s distinctive alt-rock style, which has garnered critical acclaim and is distinguished by complex melodies, sophisticated structures, and arena-ready anthemic energy, in addition to its thematic coherence. The group’s “emotive vocals, dynamic instrumentals, and vulnerability” were lauded by Atwood Magazine, while Bearded Gentlemen Music and antiMusic have emphasized their catchy songs and astute musicianship.

This record is a diverse trip through the human experience, ranging from heartfelt ballads to exuberant love tunes. “We were processing major life events like marriage, parenthood, mental health issues, and the loss of loved ones when this collection of songs came together,” says frontman Jacob Betts. The band is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more music from them
