Greetings dearest gentle readers and music lovers worldwide. Let’s welcome Yossi to our blog. Yossi is an award-winning actor, spoken word poet, performance educator, and co-founder of Write2Speak who was born in London. Over the past eight years, Yossi has headlined numerous of London’s most prestigious spoken word events and performed at venues such as BAFTA, Guildhall, YouTube, and the Tate Modern thanks to his distinctive poetic style. On 4th April, Yossi released a three-song EP called “Lost Souls”. Let’s talk more about it
“The City” is the first song on the EP. The song is a poetic song about a city and how we get by in that city. The song gives listeners a one-way VVIP ticket to this city and asks us what they think about the city we are in: The song opens this EP city so beautifully
“Lost Souls” is the next song. The intro is a deep, dramatic, and eerie sound. This song gives listeners a very avant-garde experience that you will not forget at all
The last song on the EP is called “Trypan”. This poetic performance is one beast of a performance. The words carry so much power and It is so profound. He talks about speaking deeply from the soul. This performance was perfect and listeners will get excited about it
The EP was an eye-opener about the vulnerability that comes with poems and lets us know that it does matter for us to have some conversations with ourselves. This was genuinely beautiful and I can’t wait to hear more projects from him
