Junior Druid BIOGRAPHY

Junior Druid is an award-winning Ghanaian musician who has won multiple awards in his first year as a solo artist, which include New Artiste of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards, and Most
Promising Act at the 2015 Ghana Music Honours.

Junior Druid became the first rising Ghanaian artiste and Ghana’s only representative when he was nominated for the BET 2016 Best International Act: Africa award . He has several hit singles including ‘Odo’, ‘Soldi’ and ‘Freedom Fight’. His music style is a perfect blend of Afro-Pop, Dancehall and R&B. Many of his earlier songs have towed the line of the hip hop genre but Junior Druid surprised his ‘Druids’ with a beautiful r&b song in July 2014 which featured reigning artiste of the year Jay Meech proving again that he can rub shoulders with the best in the business. The dashing driller also has many other songs in his repertoire such as ‘See Me Win,’ ‘Who’s Missing Who,’ Murder, Golf, Nhyira and crowd favourite ‘Riding My Wave’ which was specially recorded for his fans and happens to be the title of his debut album.

The launch of his album in November of 2014 was described as the culmination of his hard work throughout the year and a clear manifestation that he had become a mainstay in the Ghanaian music industry. The ‘Riding My Wave’ album launch took place at the car park of the Accra Mall and was heavily patronized by a crowd of over five thousand avid fans and Junior Druid did not disappoint as he put on a thrilling performance with a host of other musicians and celebrities.
