American singer-songwriter Salem Ilese was born as Salem Ilese Davern.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

California’s Mill Valley is where Ilese was born.At the age of ten, she enrolled in San Francisco songwriting lessons with Bonnie Hayes, songwriter for Bonnie Raitt and Cher. She went to Berklee College of Music as well.

MUSICAL CAREER

The RIAA gave her single “Mad at Disney” a gold medal.In 2020, the song made an appearance on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Popular Songs and reached at number 67 on the Billboard Global 200 .Ilese also co-wrote the songs “Here’s Your Perfect” by Jamie Miller, “Build a Bitch” by Bella Poarch, and “Anti-Romantic” by Tomorrow X Together. In May 2021, she launched her EP “(L)only Child” together with a food truck.
