Greetings dearest readers and music lovers, let’s welcome Marco Ragozza to our blog. The artist and Italian singer-songwriter Marco Ragozza, 30, resides in London. He studied music for seven years in northern Italy before relocating there in 2019 to pursue songwriting studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). On 21st February, he made an 8-song album called “Fall and What Comes After”. Let’s talk more about this album

The album begins with the song “No Rebels Here”. The song opens with grand and beautiful piano sounds. This song is about a character who is In a dark place, especially in his relationship. He lays down everything she did that hurt him and tells her he doesn’t want to talk anymore(”I don’t want to talk to you again”). Finally, this character bids her goodbye, banishing her from his life. Musically, this song is rich, full of life, and most importantly, emotive. The vocal perfectly sold listeners on this unfolding sob story about a failed relationship. This song as an opener was a perfect fit for this album and listeners will be jonesing for more music

The second song is called “Can We Be Friends”. This song has a very fun and upbeat intro. Trying to be friends with an ex is a difficult thing, but in this case, this character wanted to spread his wings and go on an adventure. Knowing her stance on adventure, he tells her that there are more things to experience and lets her know that he still wants to be friends with her despite the circumstances (” Can we still be friends”). The instrumentation and vocals on this song are fun and lighthearted, you will be tapping to this wonderful bop in no time at all

Next up is “another man”. The song opens with very cool and mid-tempo instrumentation. The song is about a character who is going through a metamorphosis and emerges like a new man(”burning up, I’m on fire”). The intro of the song might seem laid back but don’t be fooled, it picks up and becomes a real rock song with explosive and awesome instrumentation (electric guitar associated with rock songs

“Potatoes and roast duck” is the name of the next song. The song starts with bright guitar sounds. This song is a song about nostalgia. The days we remember quiet and memorable times we had with our family. In this song, the character’s memory was of his dad making a fire and his mom making potatoes and roast duck. We all have memories like this that we wished we could relive and the song captures that perfectly. From the song structure to the vocals, listeners get a full and immersive music experience that is unmatched

Up next is “Forget Her”. The song opens with a very exciting melody that is impressive. The song talks about the aftermath of a broken relationship. First, you get angry, try to find out what you did wrong, and have dark days but you will get through it, like the character in the song. (”I think I’ve forgotten her now”). This song provides some hope and comfort to people in similar situations and lets them know that they will get better.

“Fall” is the next song on the record. The intro is very captivating and has a beautiful allure. This song is about loss and falling into a dark place. The vocal performance is so stunning but it doesn’t stop there, listeners get an incredible electric guitar solo that is very beautiful and delightful

Up next is the song “what comes after”. The song opens with a dreamy guitar melody. The song talks about a character who is surprised as to what happens next in a situation he finds himself in. This awesome song is made whole with this musical component (electrical guitar solo and vocals)

The last song on the album is “Sad for no Reason”. The song opens with glacial, short, and operatic piano sounds. The song illustrates a character who thought he was healed of the pain but the wound opens up when he sees this person(” I thought you were just that”). The vocals on this song are so incredible and breathtaking and it is the perfect song to close the album

The album was Recorded at Devon’s famed Middle Farm Studios, With a ray of optimism, the album “Fall and What Comes After” explored themes of longing, depression, nostalgia, and the shadow of suicidal ideas. The loss of previous familiar relationships, the emotional toll of change, and the struggle with one’s inner darkness are all explored, reflecting the artist’s journey through profound personal challenges. There is nothing more to say except to acknowledge Marco for his immense talent. I can’t wait to hear more music from him
