“Let Me Shake You” came about one day when the artist was spending time on social media and saw that many of their friends were experiencing similar difficult times and were seriously doubting themselves. When they saw that they were going through some difficult times similar to those they had recently experienced, they reasoned that if I could make it through and recover from a very dark moment when I was on the verge of giving up on myself, anyone could, and since I had the resources to spread the word and inspire them to keep going, I should do everything in my power to support them. The song was recorded in San Francisco at the renowned Hyde Street Studios, which has produced recordings by the Grateful Dead, Kanye West, and Green Day, among many other artists. Masted at London’s Abbey Road Studios. To write the song they stayed at an Airbnb in California for a month. They brought in Javier Torres, a great drummer.
